This is my newest project! I wanted to demonstrate my ability to use a variety of tools integrated into one lovely learning experience. In the example below, Supporting Families During Organ and Tissue Donation, I used Articulate RISE 360 as the basis for the course to provide structure. Within RISE, I built custom interactions to make the material more interesting and engaging. I used Synthesia to generate the introduction video for the course. I also utilized ChatGPT to generate the HTML code for the click and reveal section. I had a lot of fun with this one, and I hope you will like the end product too!

Supporting Families During Organ and Tissue Donation Course​

I created this project to provide an example of the kind of work I have done in Vyond. Vyond is an animation tool. I typically create videos in Vyond to explain content that can be a little dry, then I add the videos to courses I am building in Storyline. Engaging the learner is one of my top priorities, and I have found that video creation helps me reach that goal. Enjoy!

Inspiration

The inspiration for this course comes from my family. My father has Type 2 Diabetes. Though it runs in his side of the family, he has not had diabetes his whole life. He developed it at the age of 46. I feel that many people know diabetes is "a bad thing," but they do not know what it is. I created this course to provide basic knowledge of what it is for the audience.

Details About the Course

I created this course in Storyline 360. Inside you will find evidence of my knowledge and skills when utilizing the authoring tool. However, there is more to see than just Storyline! I also used Synthesia, an AI-powered video creation platform that allows users to create videos with virtual characters and voiceovers! 

In the last scene of the course, I designed a branching scenario and used the videos I created in Synthesia to make the material and choices more engaging for the learner. This is not only a fun way to navigate content - it also helps to solidify the content for the learner!
