Learning Gap
Problem/Instructional Need: Educators require training to use engaging technology to support learning in the classroom.
Rationale:
Third through sixth grade students enjoy the use of technology in their lives and have come to depend on its’ use. For educators, utilizing websites to reinforce learning in the classroom is necessary to increase student engagement and to meet technology standards so that students can compete in a global society. It is essential to use technology that not only enhances the learning experience, but also provides educators with valuable information, is user friendly, and allows various controls to be put into place to meet individual student needs. Completing this course will provide educators with the knowledge required to use these two tools to build opportunities for their learners that support classroom learning, capture student attention, and utilize technology in a positive manner that is beneficial and engaging to students and educators.

-
Create and share an Edpuzzle with your personal class; have students complete it for data acquisition
Module 3: Culminating Performance Task
Learners will use screen recording software (such as screencastify, loom, etc.) to capture themselves presenting a walk-through of Edpuzzle, which must demonstrate their ability to:
-
Access your class roster page
-
Find your Edpuzzle library (should include the Edpuzzle you had your class complete)
-
Access student data
-
Create/copy, adapt, and/or build a new Edpuzzle to support learning in your class
In your video, also discuss how this tool is helpful for your students, which students benefit most, those that benefit least, and ideas about how you can use Edpuzzle in other ways to reach all of your students through differentiation.
Submit your video to be graded by the instructor to receive your certificate of completion. Use the rubric provided to aid in understanding of expectations and requirements.
The instructor will provide instructional how-to videos, informational videos, screenshots and screencasts for the learner to view throughout the course. There will also be required reading material (such as infographics, interactive slides and instructions) to explain ideas and describe expectations for the learner. Audio and transcripts will be available for those that choose to use them.
Digital Document
Click below to be taken to an infographic I created. It will assist in meeting objective one: Transform Kahoots to support student learning concepts taught in the classroom. The learners must understand what a Kahoot! is if they are going to transform a Kahoot! and support learning with it.
Animation
Clicking the picture below takes you to an animation I created that leads towards mastery of objective number three in my course: Create an assignment in Edpuzzle. Once they have viewed this video learners will understand that Edpuzzle is a tool for building interactive video lessons. Learners will then be able to begin thinking about what kind of assignment they would like to create.
